Featured Wines

On a beautiful Friday afternoon, June 1st, City Market had its inaugural wine tasting with many friends and visitors stopping by. Robert Braswell from Tryon Distributing, showcased two North Carolina wines and two biodynamic wines that were very tasty! Rockhouse Meritage and Rockhouse Chardonnay are made in Tryon, NC, only 30 miles away. Two other wines, 3 Degrees Pinot Noir and Maysara Pinot Gris, are both biodynamic wines made in Oregon.Featured foods included Sunburst Trout, Three Grace’s Cheeses, Ashe County Cheeses, Roots and Branches Crackers, Willa’s Spicy Cheese Bites, Aunt Ruby’s Peanuts, and Black Mountain Chocolate. Mara from The Baker’s Box, tantalized us with her Kalamata Olive Challa and her Strawberry Crumb Cake! This event proved a smashing success and we are already planning our next event! Hope you can join us next time!
